Dr. Erin Adkins, DVM

Dr. Erin Adkins grew up on the East Coast and earned her DVM from UC Davis in 2009. She spent the first half of her career practicing emergency medicine at specialty hospitals in Northern California and Australia before relocating to the Bloomington–Normal area in 2019. Dr. Adkins has a professional interest in diagnostic ultrasound and has completed multiple postgraduate ultrasound courses to advance her skills. She also enjoys soft-tissue surgery, the challenge of diagnosing complex medical cases, and the long-term relationships she has built with clients and patients. At HPH/AEC, she is pleased to combine her passions by practicing both emergency and general medicine. Outside the hospital, Dr. Adkins spends time with her husband and two children. Because of a family cat allergy, they keep dogs at home, so she is grateful for daily cat snuggles at work. She also enjoys traveling, hiking, reading, and cheering on her children’s sports teams.
